Singapore Professionals Look for Better Jobs as Economy Recovers

It has been seen lately that approximately 65 % of the Singapore's finance and accounting professionals are searching for better job opportunities because the economy of Singapore is recovering and hiring sentiments are improving.

From the survey it has been seen that the employers are trying to retain their top talent, whereas some of them are concerned about losing their top talent.

Robert Half performed the survey this year between January and February in Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand. It is an expert financial recruitment firm that focuses in global placement services for accounting, finance, banking and technology professionals.

It was noted by Robert Half's Tim Hird, that the employment landscape had modified in the starting of the year in Singapore and after 18 months period from mid 2008 to end 2009 the business started hiring professionals.

“In line with this, the candidate pool has become more active, as well as increasingly competitive, as finance professionals seek better career prospects amid renewed confidence about the economy and job market”, said Mr. Hird, Singapore MD for Robert Half.
