Twitter's CEO Evan Williams publicized a new section of feature added to the respective site which would help Twitter users connect with each other through other websites such as The New York times and eBay. This kind of service has already been rendered in the past by Facebook (Facebook Connect) to its users, where they can sign in to their accounts through a third party's website.
The new service has been christened `@anywhere' by Twitter, and it will help the users check out all the brands and hyperlinks with Twitter accounts. This kind of service is going to assist the general Twitter users as well as companies who can create a better advertising prospect of their products and offers.
It seems to be an imitation of Facebook Connect and as Facebook is already set in the market, Twitter will have to work a lot upon making its place in the sector. Twitter is confident about its plans, and desires to make it easier for the users to keep themselves updated.
The initial sites connected will include Amazon, AdAge, Bing, Citysearch, Digg, eBay, The Huffington Post, Meebo, MSNBC. com, The New York Times, Salesforce. com, Yahoo, and Youtube and a few more, as and when the service starts.
