Details of Microsoft’s 'Project-Pink' Smartphones Turtle and Pure Seep into the Market

MicrosoftImages and some details of Microsoft's forth-coming smartphones, the Turtle and Pure, which are reportedly part of its "Project pink" were unveiled recently on the gadget guide site Gizmodo. The foggy images of Pure pictures it as a slider, with slide-out keyboards with 480 by 320 screen while the Turtle is reported to have a 320 by 240 screen.

Gizmodo also reveal that the codes of the two do not disclose their prices, the operating system is claimed to be based on Windows CE and Verizon is the network providing carrier. These images disclosed that the user interface of both the devices has features of Web 2.0, the similar ones are there in sync with Windows 7 Mobile series which was made public in the World Mobile Congress last month.

It also provides a convenient access to tools like social networking sites, e-mail, Xbox games etc. In a presentation made in a conference, Steve Ballmer, the CEO of Microsoft said, "In a crowded market filled with phones that look the same and do the same things, I challenged the team to deliver a different kind of mobile experience". Pure and Turtle are expected to hit the markets by May, reported BusinessWeek.
