Woman nearing death flies to SingaporeA 24-year-old Perth woman in nearing death and the only hope for her is a live liver for which she is flying to Singapore today for a liver transplant.

Claire Murray who has been told by doctors that she has only some months to live is a former drug addict. For a second liver transplant, Murray was refused a place on a waiting list after she received a donor organ last year but she went back to drug addiction.

The mother of two would not live if she does not get liver transplant, doctors have informed her.

Murray's family members are flying to Singapore to find out if they are suitable for a live liver transplant.

Family sources informed that the result of these assessments would probably known by early next week.

An interest-free loan has been given to the family by the WA Government which amounts to $258,000 to help pay for the procedure.
