The Apple-Samsung lawsuit, involving the release of Samsung's Galaxy Tab 10.1tablet in Australia, took yet another turn on Thursday when Australian High Court Justice John Dyson Heydon blocked the overturning of the Galaxy tab sales ban through December 9.
Scoot names Sydney as its first destination
Singapore Airlines' new budget carrier Scoot has announced that its first route will be between Singapore and Sydney.
The new low-cost offshoot of Singapore Airlines has plans to start daily services on the Singapore-Sydney route from sometime in the middle of 2012.
Regulator to decide in Qantas-union dispute
Industrial arbiter Fair Work Australia will now decide on new contracts for Qantas Airways employees as failed to hit agreements with the Australia's biggest airline by yesterday's deadline.
Last month, the labor regulator had given the airline 21 days to reach an agreement with the unions representing pilots, engineers and ground crew.
Qantas pilots challenge strike ban issued by Fair Work Australia
Two weeks after a ban on strikes was issued by Fair Work Australia, prohibiting the Transport Worker’s Union, Australian Licenced Engineers Association and its pilot’s association from taking any industrial action against Qantas for a three-week period, the pilots at the carrier have taken the legal route to overturn the ban.
