Japan’s largest automaker, Toyota Motor Corporation witnessed a profit of 39% which surpassed the expectations of the firm. The profits incurred are expected to overcome the loss due to the catastrophe that occurred in the area on March 11.

Toyota Motor Corp., the biggest car maker in Japan reported a 77% fall in net profits for the quarter ending on March 2011 on Wednesday. The company said the decline in production is due to disorder in the production and the effects of the strong yen.

It also said that the company is trying hard to come back to its normal regime after March 11 devastating earthquake followed by tsunami.

On Friday, Toyota Motor Corporation announced that it will resume its production globally by November or December. At present, Toyota plants in Japan are operating at their 50% capacity.

The president of the Japanese automaker has said on Friday that Toyota Motor had a disruption in its production levels. It would take time to return in its normal level, perhaps by the end of this year.

After Japan being hit by earthquake and tsunami disaster all the auto companies of the world are facing shortage of auto components as Japan is the major exporter of all these components. Toyota also faces the problem of shortage and thus announced to reduce auto production at its Chinese plants by 50-70 percent until June 3.

Toyota Motor Corp in Japan, the world's biggest automaker said that it will cut down its production of cars by half the original plans till June 3 and had resume its production services at all of its factories from April 18.

According to Toyota Motor Corp. (7203), Nissan Motor Co. as well as Honda Motor Co. manufacturing of car in China had not been affected following the strongest earthquake till date in Japan compelled parts manufacturers to cease plants.
