Lenovo has announced to introduce its latest Y-series of notebooks comprises of the Lenovo IdeaPad Y460 and Lenovo IdeaPad Y560. These notebooks support new range of multimedia and are available at a starting price of Rs 46235 in India.

Lenovo Group Ltd., China's biggest personal computer maker by shipments, said Thursday it turned around to a first-quarter net profit from a net loss a year earlier, as an increase in PC shipments offset lower profit margins as the company focuses on lower-priced consumer products.

Net profit for the three months ended June 30 was $54.86 million, compared with a net loss of $16.01 million a year earlier.

PC maker, Lenovo has announced the launch of two new notebooks named Lenovo IdeaPad Y460 and Lenovo IdeaPad Y560 in the new line up called the Y-Series.

Both the devices features a host of advanced features from the comoany as well as other vendors like Lenovo Veriface Face recognition technology and One-Key rescue system along with JBL speakers, Dolby Headphone technology, and multi-touch touchpad.

Lenovo has started its shipment of its first 3D notebook, the IdeaPad Y560d, soon after its pronouncement.

The IdeaPad Y560d, is a 15.6-inch 16:9 high-definition screened laptop. It boasts of the TriDef 3D technology (TriDef Media Player) software that aids in converting of a standard movie into a 3D platform.

Lenovo is all set to launch its latest hybrid computer at CES 2010. Overcoming the deficiencies of slate tablet, Lenovo has come up with its IdeaPad U1 Hybrid in advance of the CES tradeshow.

The IdeaPad U1 is a slate tablet operating on a Qualcomm Snapdragon ARM CPU complimented with the Skylight Linux interface when a user is on the move, and if one docks it back into the clamshell, it seamlessly switches back to a Windows 7 operating system, running on the latest Intel Core 2 Duo U4100 processor.
