Nowotny feels Greece is failing to meet international rescue package terms

Greece does not appear to have met the terms of its international rescue package of late, as stated by European Central Bank Governing Council member Ewald Nowotny today.

According to Austrian Kronen Zeitung, Nowotny had apparently said that Greece seems not have to met the terms and conditions sufficiently recently, and that the concern over privatisations is going to be the most sensitive point here.

ECB keeping unlimited offerThe European Central Bank stretched its liquidity security net for susceptible euro zone banks on Thursday, with a pledge to offer unlimited one-week and one-month support until at least by January 18.

It shall also present infinite funds at its three-month proposals until at least the conclusion of this year.

ECB Lends 131.9 bn in 3 Month Funds

ECBAs banks faced the refund of close to half a trillion Euros in 12-month funds, the European Central Bank provided the banks with 131.9 billion Euros, in three-month funds on Wednesday.

About 171 banks had borrowed funds at a flat rate of 1% in the operation; the ECB said which was below expectation.
