The compensation claims by the UK air passengers from the airlines for long delay of the flights has been suspended by the High Court of UK.
According to a ruling by the European Court of Justice, in last November the air passengers have the right to claim for compensation from the airlines not only for cancellation but also for long delay of the flights.

The entitlement of UK air passengers to compel airlines to reimburse costs for extended flight delays has been suspended by the High Court. A European Court of Justice (ECJ) ruling last November gave passengers the right to compensation for long delays, not just cancellations.
But the High Court has, at the request of UK airlines, referred the matter back to the ECJ for a further hearing.
